The City of Dublin Parks & Recreation team is planning a plant refresh at the Worner Temple Road/Ballantrae Place/Baronscourt Way traffic circle. This work will restore the area with better, more adaptive plants while keeping the same overall design and character you’re used to seeing.
What’s Changing
- Same design, new plants: This is not a redesign but a refresh. The traffic circle’s layout and look will stay the same
- Improved plant varieties: Updated plants will be more salt-tolerant, adaptive and easier to maintain
- Year-round interest: New dwarf varieties and colorful plant selections will provide more seasonal beauty while complementing the views of the ruins

- Will the daffodils be removed? No. The daffodil bulbs will not be removed as part of the project.
- Will the refresh also include eliminating weeds and volunteer trees? Yes. Weeds and volunteer trees will be removed.

- Access around the traffic circle will remain open
- Once complete, the refreshed plantings will enhance the neighborhood while staying true to the original design
A Year in Color
We’ve selected plants that will bring color, texture and interest to the traffic circle near the Ballantrae Community Park throughout the year — while keeping the same design character you know today. Many of the plants are dwarf varieties, chosen so they won’t block the view of the ruins and will require less maintenance to stay neatly trimmed.
